Every once in awhile I get so happy designing a kit, I kind of lose control.

I keep clicking and drawing and adding and playing and before I know it, there’s a whole bundle of goodness on my hard drive! That’s what happened this week- as you may know I am a BIG fan of Dr. Seuss and have written abut that obsession a few times.  I  put on a fun loving thinking cap and design a bundle just full of the joy and childlike wonder that he inspires! It’s called FUNTASTICAL and you can see it in the shoppe here.  Along with the out loud colors of the page kit, I designed more muted Kraft styled papers-which compliment the kit beautifully- and add a softer voice to the designs. I also designed colorful chalk art and a few sweet vellum spots- and a set of journal cards all to coordinate! (All are available separately or as a happy little bundle.) See? I told you!  I let my love carry me away a bit!

I’ve posted some layouts from the kit below- I hope you enjoy them and that they inspire you to take a little time out this weekend to appreciate and enjoy the silly fun moments of your day- maybe with a fellow named Sam and some Green Eggs and Ham!

what joy will you create today?

Crafting the JOY and “meh” of Winter

I have a love-hate relationship with winter. Come November 1 after all the pumpkin spice palooza- I can’t wait to cozy things up with knits and layers and all things comfy-cozy, and then comes the magic of the holidays, the thrill of the first snow and the delight of slow cooked dinners and nights by […]

The Joy of Challenges

After the holidays where we give so much of ourselves to others, January gives us a welcome chance to look inward and see how we can refill our own buckets.  It’s also the time of year at the Lilypad when we host a “Month of Challenges”  where each day a different memory keeping challenge is […]

Jump start your layouts | looking backwards

It’s been said that photographs are a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone. I love that thought. Because, if we can return to a time- then it’s never really lost is it? Not to us, or to anyone who can see and read and feel what that image means to us. We can tell […]

Simplifying December with Traveler’s Notebooks

Especially this time of year, when there are so many stories to be captured- I wanted to make it a point to scrap more often- to tell more stories- but in a simpler way. I love Project Life- and I am a big fan of mini books. It’s only natural then that my attention has […]
