Not to be a bummer, but Summer is half over folks.  Now, normally I try and be a “half-full” kind of gal- but with back to school chores and assignments piling up, calender’s filling up and my eye on the fact that summer is one flip of the calendar page away form coming to an end-  I feel a strong survival type need to slow down the days we have left and unplug a little before this family cranks back up to the fast forward speed the school year puts us in.

This lazy hazy vibe washed over my drawing board in the OFFLINE collection.Think: soft dusty pinks, sunset golds and ombre sky blues- a quiet kicked back design to help capture those all-too-precious moments of downtime.

It’s mid February and there is love in the air for sure- for SO MANY happy things in my life- and that feeling has worked it’s way onto the drawing board  in my new design, PS I LOVE YOU. My hope was to have this design work with stories beyond February 14th- because hey! there […]

Crafting the JOY and “meh” of Winter

I have a love-hate relationship with winter. Come November 1 after all the pumpkin spice palooza- I can’t wait to cozy things up with knits and layers and all things comfy-cozy, and then comes the magic of the holidays, the thrill of the first snow and the delight of slow cooked dinners and nights by […]

The Joy of Challenges

After the holidays where we give so much of ourselves to others, January gives us a welcome chance to look inward and see how we can refill our own buckets.  It’s also the time of year at the Lilypad when we host a “Month of Challenges”  where each day a different memory keeping challenge is […]

Jump start your layouts | looking backwards

It’s been said that photographs are a return ticket to a moment otherwise gone. I love that thought. Because, if we can return to a time- then it’s never really lost is it? Not to us, or to anyone who can see and read and feel what that image means to us. We can tell […]

Simplifying December with Traveler’s Notebooks

Especially this time of year, when there are so many stories to be captured- I wanted to make it a point to scrap more often- to tell more stories- but in a simpler way. I love Project Life- and I am a big fan of mini books. It’s only natural then that my attention has […]
